Gentleman's Pocket Knife

Gentleman's Pocket Knife

I swear that this was actually described as a "Gentleman's pocket knife" when I bought it. Considering that the blade is about 3.25" long and the knife weighs more than 4 ounces, I think this is a bit of a misnomer. Still, it's a pretty slick-looking knife, with simulated wood scales (I think they're actually a carbon composite) and a nice non-reflective finish on the blade. The edges are polished and radiused, so it feels pretty smooth in your pocket. There is no clip on this knife, suggesting that it is indeed intended for carry in your pocket and not on your waistband. The action is also very smooth and positive, with minimal kick for a knife this size. There is a small safety lever near the release button...right where it should be. It's hard to find any flaws with this knife for the cost, which is under $30. Again, made in China.

  • MODEL: Unknown
  • TYPE: Automatic
  • ACTION: Side-opening
  • MECHANISM: Coil spring
  • CLOSED LENGTH: 4.5"
  • BLADE LENGTH: 3.75"
  • PROS: Nicely finished with smooth edges, strong blade that compliments the taper of the handle, useful safety in right location, smooth action for a large knife.
  • CONS: A little too big for a pocket knife.
  • VALUE: Great buy for the price.
  • OVERALL OPINION: A very attractive knife that has been civilized for daily carry. If it had a 2.5" or 2.75" blade, it would be a bit more practical for this purpose.
